First thing I have to say about the Chicago-Detroit series is that I WON'T HAVE TO SEE APPLICATOR'S UGLY FACE UNTIL NEXT SEASON.

But in all seriousness, it was an amazing series. Both teams played excellent, and it was an all-around great series to watch.

I didn't give up on the Hawks, even when it was 3-1. Nope. I kept growing my Playoff legs. (I can't grow a beard, so I have to settle for Playoff legs.)

My complaints about the refs are not going to be candy-coated. They did a TERRIBLE job. While the Hawks were at the Joe Louis Arena for the 1st and 2nd time, the refs called crap against the Hawks. And I wouldn't put it under the Red Wings to make dirty plays that the refs 'didn't see'. And Game 7, when Hjalmarsson scored the goal that should have been the game winner, the refs denied it as a goal? I mean, seriously? What kind ofvcrap call was that? The fans at the UC chanting 'Bullshit' are my new heroes.

And, I am pissed at what Detroit was doing to Toews. Ganging up on him and kicking him in front of the goal, and the refs didn't call it. In fact, the refs never called anything when Toews was the one being pushed around. That's not cool. It's not cool playing dirty like that Detroit. All this series has shown is how much you need the refs to win games and how dirty and disgusting you play. Almost every time the Hawks played at Joe Louis, we have been denied a goal that clearly was one. To be honest, I have lost the little respect I had for Datsyuk, and have new respect for Howard, probably the most gentlemanly player on the team.
